Review: Counter Strike Condition Zero
Counter Strike: Condition Zero comes after the first Counter Strike. The game, released in 2004, consists of both Counter Strike: Condition Zero & Counter Strike: Condition Zero Deleted Scenes. Unlike its elder sibling, CZERO has a multiplayer mode, enabling the player can play against or with bots in even more maps.
First Impressions:
Haven’t played this game for a few months, setting the resolution to 1680×1050 to fit my monitor needs getting use to. Previously, I played the game on a 15″ laptop at 1280×720 resolution. The change in resolution clearly shows a big difference in textures of graphical qualities. The edges of objects/bots/background/surroundings are much more visible and less smooth compared to playing at a smaller resolution. Nevertheless, the weapons are detailed, objects/bots/background/surroundings’n quality is good when playing at an optimal resolution.
Game itself:
Moving on to the maps in CZERO, there are a number of updated maps from Counter Strike and a few newer ones. Like its elder sibling, the objectives of any map are either to Bomb or Defuse the Bomb or  hostage rescue. Some weapons are advantageous in some maps and others are not, this kind of attracts you to try out different tactics and different weapons in different maps, making the game engaging.
The new addition in the game: BOTS/A.I.
I kind of like this new addition, you have opponents, that u can set the difficulty level, to play with and/or against. This helps people with slow internet connection and cannot connect to online game servers. There is also a choice for you to limit the weapons allowed for the bots to use, this would be effective when training against a specific weapon.
Campaign mode:
I haven’t really tried this mode but, this is what it is all about:
Basically, u play with a number of bots on your team, against the opposition. It is about completing missions, unlocking maps, complete more maps, unlock more maps. The bots that you can team up with also have its own uniqueness. Some are good snipers, good at close range combats, etc. They even have their own personalities which will affect how they handle situations during gameplay. Progressing through the various missions also means that the bots would also upgrade. Along the way, the player would also gain new bots to form his team. There are other features but I have yet to gain/experience them.
In conclusion, this game is one classic first person shooter. Both simple to understand, with simple controls, and not to advanced gameplay. You can play it out of the box without a need to read the manual as the controls kind of come naturally to me. W A S D for directions, mouse to aim and fire, R to reload. Short and simple. This game is a classic that can be played at any time to kill boredom as its both engaging and requires a bit of concentration. Nice to play as short breaks or simply just to take your mind of something. It is a game that can be played on a competitive level or just for fun. Definitely worth my installing on my computers.

FALL 2009 Anime

Lots of sequels this season. Darker than Black 2, Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 2, White Album 2, Asura Cryin’ 2, Natsu no Arashi 2 and Shin Koihime Musou and Inuyasha.

Looking foward to Darker than Black Season 2, Asura Cryin’ 2, White Album 2 and Nogizaka Haruka no Himitsu 2. Seitokai no Ichizon seems interesting too.

Lol @ Stitch! 2 and Tamagotchi. Wonder what the Tamagotchi and Jungle Emperor Leo animes will be like.

Lots of things to watch out for this coming season. Hopefully they would be interesting.
